Six years ago in a meeting at Epicenter Church we heard the same things over and over about how there are no events in the city for children during Easter. Easter is a very important time of year for us. We wanted to show the city that there are great things to do year round and hold an annual event in Fayetteville to commemorate the Easter holiday.
After we talked to our congregation, we decided on “Hop in the Park,” an event that would allow kids from all over the region the chance to participate in a large Easter egg hunt. We also wanted to bring excitement to the event, and what better way than to have the Easter Bunny skydive into the event!
We knew after the wild success of our inaugural event that each year we would have to step things up. We have more than tripled the amount of food and events since the first event in 2013, and we are expecting even more than the 30,000 visitors we had at last year’s event!
Who is it for?
Everyone is invited to attend, you do not have to be a particular resident or belong to any particular religious group. We welcome everyone! This event is rooted in a safe place for children to come have a great time and celebrate the Easter holiday. For more details about this awesome event, click here.
